Ministry at PBC

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Galatians 5:13

The ministries of Philadelphia Baptist Church exists as a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory and in service to one another.

Equipping women to minister in their areas of giftedness.

Vision Statement:
Through Faith, Fellowship, & Fun, women will be empowered to “BLOOM” in every season of their lives.

Senior Adults

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." - Hebrews 10:24

We consider our Senior Adults at PBC to be an important asset to the ministry of our church.
This vibrant group of adults (ages 60 and up) at our Deville campus, and Saints Alive at Philadelphia Horseshoe Drive, use their talent, skills, and experiences in a variety of different ways to help carry out the mission of Philadelphia--"Loving God, loving others, showing others God's love." Organized fellowships are planned regularly to facilitate growing relationships that also enhance their relationship with God and encourage serving Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Prayer Ministry

Philadelphia Baptist Church recognizes the foundational importance of prayer and God’s direction to an active ministry. We want to kindle a personal passion for Jesus and unceasing prayer, reclaim the church as a house of prayer for all the nations, and respond to God’s call to join in focused prayer.

We desire to become a “prayer Saturated Church,” making a difference in our community, our state, and the world. We believe a living, growing, Holy Spirit-filled church will be a praying church, and as a result, that church will be a soul-winning, Kingdom building, life-transforming church.

The PBC Prayer Ministry is dedicated to intercessory prayer. A group of prayer warriors prays over requests that come through the mail, email, or by telephone. Don’t hesitate to let us know how we may pray for you.

Faith Riders

The command of God implores us as we “go into all the world we are to preach the Gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). The F.A.I.T.H. Riders take this calling seriously as the lifeblood of its existence and passion. This is a ministry, not a riding club or gang, and our sole purpose is to share the life-changing Good News by equipping the saints to engage in practical ministry opportunities. Through the ministry of F.A.I.T.H. Riders, bikers and others are learning about Jesus Christ and receiving His excellent gift of salvation and eternal life in Heaven with Him. F.A.I.T.H. Riders are reaching people with their bikes who may not usually step foot into an organized church or Bible study. It’s putting rubber, as well as shoe leather, onto the Gospel message. The P.B.C. F.A.I.T.H. Riders meet the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery at Philadelphia Baptist Church: Deville is part of a nationwide ministry that helps individuals work through hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is a biblical and balanced program based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.  It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process.
